After two years with the inflatable, it was gradually time for a different boat.

In October 2011 we bought a new boat. We put off the decision for a long time and kept changing our minds – it was a tough choice between a rigid inflatable and a cabin boat. As you can see in the photos, it turned out to be a cabin boat.

The boat offers everything you need for a short overnight trip.

  • Rear sun lounger
  • Cooker and sink
  • Fresh water tank
  • Toilet
  • Berths in the cabin
  • Outdoor shower
  • Sitting headroom in the cabin

Technical data:

  • Unladen weight of boat 800 kg
  • 85 hp two-stroke outboard engine
  • Length 5.80 m
  • Weight of boat and trailer: 1,300 kg
  • Water-ski hook
  • Rev counter and speedometer
  • Fish finder
  • GRP hull

Conversions & upgrades

  1. Engine upgrade

The existing 80 hp two-stroke Yamaha outboard was simply too small for the big boat, so it had to make way for a more powerful engine.

As we still wanted to enjoy the power and liveliness of a two-stroke combined with the smooth running of a four-stroke engine, we chose a Mercury Optimax two-stroke with fuel injection. The new engine now has a little more power.
