Day 6 Valencia

In the morning we docked in Valencia. A fresh 12 degrees, but dry – ideal weather for exploring. Through AIDA we had booked the tour "By boat through La Albufera Nature Park" (69 euros), and it turned out to be a calm counterpoint to the lively city.

The bus took us out to La Albufera. There we changed onto a boat and glided leisurely across the lake. Water, reeds, birdsong – an unhurried, almost meditative trip. The vastness of the lagoon and the surrounding rice fields give you a good sense of how closely nature and region are linked here.

Then the bus took us back to Valencia for a tour of the city. Modern architecture, wide boulevards and historic corners alternated – a city that shows its history without standing still. Afterwards we had free time and explored Valencia on foot: lively squares, beautiful lanes, lots of atmosphere. A city that feels light and makes you curious.

In the evening it was cast off again. We left Valencia heading for Barcelona – the last stop of this trip was already waiting. A well-rounded day between nature, city and anticipation of the finale.
