At 7 a.m. sharp we reached our destination. After breakfast, at 9 a.m., we met for our booked AIDA excursion TE03. The destination was Loro Parque – which countless other AIDA guests wanted to see too.

The bus ride only took 45 minutes, and we already saw many beautiful spots on Tenerife.

Once in the park, we first visited the gorillas and then went straight to the dolphin show. Afterwards on to the orca show. We noticed that in this park the animal trainers didn't go into the water with the animals, as they do in Miami, which we think is very good. The park is super and definitely worth it.

We had 5 hours in the park itself, and seats were reserved for AIDA guests at every show. Admission to the park costs 34 euros for an adult; through AIDA, with transfer and everything else, 70 euros. The seat reservations alone made booking through AIDA worth it.

The next morning we reached La Palma. It's only about a 10-minute walk to the city, so we hadn't booked an excursion here. Our plan was to visit the old town of La Palma, and that's what we did.

Little lanes and shops everywhere. Prices on the island are very reasonable and not inflated.

There's a great café on the main square. Directly opposite AIDA's berth there's a public sandy beach – just follow the main road. Great view of AIDA. However, the sand there is black and you burn the soles of your feet very quickly, so you have to be quick or wear shoes.

In the evening there was the farewell party.

On Sunday it was time to say goodbye again. As our return flight didn't leave until 8 p.m., we had booked the spa again for the last day. Just relaxing one more time.
