In December the time had finally come: our first trip on AIDAprima. The journey by car went smoothly, and we had booked the car park right at the terminal through AIDA in advance. Park the car, and less than 100 metres away lies the ship. Impressive.
We handed in our suitcases, and check-in took less than 10 minutes.
The first impression was overwhelming – the huge entrance hall. Cabin 14106 was already ready and released, so we went straight there. Then we explored the ship. The new attractions: an ice-skating rink and a high ropes course.
For the whole trip we had made dinner reservations in the various restaurants in advance – a great idea, as the buffet restaurants were very crowded.
And in the evening we had our traditional cocktail at Prime Time.
The next morning the sun greeted us on our first sea day. The choice of restaurants is enormous – no fewer than 13 different ones on board – and the sports centre is impressive.
At 11 a.m. we went to the club meeting. We were welcomed by our entertainment manager Birte and the hotel manager, "Hot-Men" for short.
And here's the explanation of why my wife almost ended up with one finger fewer :-) (keep an eye on the cocktails)
