To round off our trip we had reserved a table at Rossini, and we can recommend the experience.

Verdict on the AIDA trip and the IT on the ship: even under coronavirus conditions the trip was a great experience. The crew was always in a good mood and friendly. The ship was very empty, as there was a maximum passenger occupancy – which isn't a bad thing for us as guests.

AIDA's IT in general has had room for improvement for many years: websites sometimes unreachable, logins not working, pages overloaded and so on – and on the ships themselves the Wi-Fi is miserable. I often ask myself whether Rostock knows about its IT problems, or whether head office knows nothing at all about the challenges. On our trip, for example, many wayfinding terminals weren't working, so we often had to wander from deck to deck to find one that worked. Why isn't it possible to book a trip on the AIDA website via the onboard Wi-Fi? On a cruise, of all times, I have time to look for the next trip and book it if necessary. The AIDA Cruises app very often only shows the message: "This function is not available on board." I don't understand this attitude from AIDA and can't comprehend it. Furthermore, AIDA advertises downloading the myAIDA app, saying this is possible once per guest. We tried it with different guest accounts, and at the latest with the link to the app store the possibility ends. In my opinion there's still a lot of room for improvement in the quality of AIDA's IT.
