From the Weener motorhome pitch we took the scooter to Leer for a stroll through the town. The town lies idyllically between the two rivers Leda and Ems. At the same time the "Gallifest" was taking place – a folk festival that stretched right through Leer's old town.
The special charm of Leer's town centre lies in its many small shops, old town houses, picturesque lanes and the central harbour.
The marina with its lovely, idyllic waterfront promenade.
