Buje 2023

On this motorhome trip we went back to Umag, more precisely to the Lighthouse campsite.

We had reserved our (actual) favourite pitch, No. 1, in advance and were looking forward to sunny weather and many hours in the crystal-clear water of the Adriatic. The weather didn't disappoint – it was gloriously warm and sunny, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.

A highlight of our trip was the excursion to the Aura company in Buje. There we had the opportunity to take part in a tasting. It was a real treat for the palate to try the various liqueurs, brandies and olive oils. The hospitality of the Aura staff was impressive, and we felt very welcome.

After the tasting we drove on to Hum, the "smallest town in the world". This tiny place, surrounded by green hills, was a real gem. The narrow lanes and historic buildings took us back in time. We enjoyed strolling through the streets and experiencing the atmosphere of this unique place.

All in all, we had a great time in Umag. The Lighthouse campsite offered all the amenities we needed, and the proximity to the beach was unbeatable. We spent a lot of time in the water, relaxed on the beach and enjoyed the warm summer days.

After seven days it was finally time to head home. Our motorhome trip had given us not only beautiful beaches and glorious weather but also unforgettable experiences in the charming towns of Buje and Hum. We returned home with lots of lovely memories and are already looking forward to our next trip.
