Before this we had been in Ostro 2021.
We didn't take the motorway, but the country road to Pula. Along the beautiful coast road, we eventually drove through a wonderful mountain landscape. The road is easy to drive, and the extra hour is worth it.
In Pula we had reserved the Arena Stoja campsite in advance. This 3-star campsite lies on a headland right next to Pula. The large site has lots of amenities and plenty of clean shower blocks with hot water (at no extra charge). Fresh water and waste disposal are no problem, even with large campers. We were allowed to choose our premium pitches ourselves and took two under the trees right by the water – a good decision given the heat of over 30 degrees.
Pula city centre is 15 minutes away by bike. With its many historic sights, Pula has lots of places to visit. Most of the sights are within a radius of 1–2 kilometres and therefore easy to walk around.
The little lanes invite you to stroll and wander. The market in the city centre is great, tempting you with a wide range of goods. The market runs every day until about 11 a.m., as it originated as a fish market.
After 5 wonderful days we left Pula and drove on to Umag 2021.
