Our journey had begun earlier at the Jama Baredine cave 2020.

As the weather in Croatia turned and only rain was forecast for the coming days, after 5 days we headed back towards Germany. We made a stop in Bad Aibling and stayed overnight at the motorhome pitch at the spa.

Cost per night: 10 euros.

The pitch is very nice, but at the time it was very overcrowded, and we got the last space in a back corner. If you now think there's plenty of room there, let me tell you that there was another motorhome parked behind ours.

After a lovely evening at an Italian restaurant with Nahid and Christoph (whom we had met at the campsite in Croatia) and a quiet night, we set off again the next morning. Our destination was Carthago in Aulendorf. The drive along the country roads is quite exciting, and after what felt like an eternity we reached Carthago City.

And we got to take a closer look at our van from the "inside".

A walk through the exhibition, and after 2 hours we continued towards Ulm.

Our destination was the motorhome pitch at the Donaubad. Unfortunately it too was fully booked, but there were overflow spaces opposite in the spa car park. There is no electricity there, though, and no Wi-Fi reception either. Showers can be used at the spa for 2 euros; fresh water and waste disposal are included in the overnight price of 10 euros.

The city centre is quickly reached by bike and offers lots of opportunities for a stroll.

Ulm itself is very nice, and so is the regular motorhome pitch, but we found the overflow area very challenging. Lots of trucks use the car park to turn and to transfer their goods, so at times it is very loud and restless.

We continued to Sinsheim 2020.

Öschweg 6. The regular site was fully booked, so we stayed on the overflow area opposite in the thermal baths car park – no electricity or Wi-Fi there. Showers for €2 in the baths. The overflow area was noisy and restless because many lorries turn and unload there; the regular site, on the other hand, is nice. Ulm city centre is quickly reached by bike. Be sure to arrive early.
