If you want to visit the metropolis of Hamburg, the "Wohnmobilhafen Hamburg" is a good choice. The pitch is on Grüner Deich and only 2 S-Bahn stops from the Binnenalster. So the motorhome pitch is very centrally located and the ideal starting point for exploring Hamburg.

The S-Bahn stop is a 5-minute walk away. Single tickets and day tickets are available. Small groups of up to 5 people can buy a day ticket for only 9.80 euros (button F3 on the ticket machine).

The pitch is fully equipped, with sanitary facilities, electricity and a service station for fresh water and waste disposal.

The pitch lies between 2 main roads, a petrol station and a McDonald's, and the S-Bahn line runs overhead. That sounds very loud, but it isn't. The pitches in the middle are all very quiet, and we slept without any disturbance.

An overnight stay costs 10 euros for the pitch plus another 9 euros for electricity, fresh water and waste disposal. You always have to take both, so an overnight stay costs 19 euros per night. As the pitch is guarded around the clock and also fenced in, I think this price is reasonable.

More information about the pitch can be found here.
