We spent New Year's Eve in Dömitz on the Elbe and saw in the new year there. Dömitz is in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, right on the Elbe.
The area around Dömitz is part of the UNESCO "Elbe River Landscape" biosphere reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is considered a paradise for nature lovers, anglers and especially birdwatchers.
There are several motorhome pitches in Dömitz. We chose the pitch at "Dömitzer Hafen" and weren't disappointed. http://www.doemitzer-hafen.de/
The harbour area has been turned into a small leisure world and offers various attractions, e.g. a panorama café, beach club, boat harbour, slipway and more.
There are 20 pitches with electricity. Fresh water and waste disposal are available at the hotel. An overnight stay including electricity costs 5 euros per night. The view is straight onto the water and offers a great panorama from the motorhome. Anyone looking for peace and relaxation will find it here.
