We spent the weekend in lovely Bad Gandersheim. The town has a lot to offer for leisure activities, from guided city tours and a sculpture trail to a brine forest pool and the famous Cathedral Festival.
The motorhome pitch is right in the centre on the little River Gande, yet very quiet. The centre is only a few metres away over a small bridge. An overnight stay costs 7 euros including waste disposal and tourist tax. Electricity is available from a coin-operated machine. At 8.30 a.m. a bakery van comes to the pitch with fresh rolls.
The cathedral where the festival is held. View of St. George's Church, right next to the pitch. The little River Gande flows right along the motorhome pitch.
Bad Gandersheim has another attraction: Alexander Walzer's Ramba Zamba market, known from radio and TV for its bargains.
