Braunschweig 2011
On our way back from Berlin we spent two days in Braunschweig – on a free motorhome pitch by the park, close to the Okercabana beach bar.

On our way back from Berlin we spent two more days in Braunschweig. The pitch is right next to the park and close to the River Oker. Unfortunately the signs are a bit confusingly placed and very easy to miss.
The entrance to the pitch is very pretty and idyllic. The service station is right at the entrance. Waste disposal is free, and fresh water costs 1 euro for about 10 minutes. The pitch has space for 16 motorhomes. There are plenty of electricity bollards (8 hours / 1 euro). What makes this pitch special (these days) is that it is free. Less than a 5-minute walk away is the Okercabana, a beach bar by the water. The bar immediately gives you a holiday feeling: feet in the sand, cocktail in hand and a view of the water. Events, live music, barbecues, boat hire and more are on offer.

Right by the park and close to the Oker, 16 pitches, lovely idyllic entrance – the signs are easy to miss. Less than 5 minutes' walk to the Okercabana beach bar.
