Göttingen 2011

In Göttingen, the motorhome pitch is right next to the "Eiswiese" leisure and wellness spa. There is a separate area for motorhomes, away from the normal car parks. The 28 generously sized plots are nicely laid out, surrounded by meadows and green spaces.

The pitch has been awarded top-site status, and we can only confirm that. Fresh water and waste disposal are available on site and can easily be reached even by larger motorhomes. Waste disposal is included in the pitch price of 9 euros per night. Fresh water costs 1 euro for 100 litres. Electricity is available at all pitches and costs 0.50 euros per kWh.

The park-like square between the pitch and the Badeparadies pool makes a lovely transition.

We tested the Badeparadies too, and it has everything you need to relax: several pools, whirlpools, a brine pool, a large sauna area, various slides and much more.

The bus into the city centre stops right at the Badeparadies. On foot it takes about 15 minutes. At weekends the bus runs every 30 minutes. The city centre is really beautiful, with lots of great shops that invite you to stroll and shop.

Lovely façades give the shopping streets a special charm.

On the market square you have to stop at the "Bullerjahn" restaurant – a little "insider" tip. Unfortunately we couldn't try it, as it's a good idea to book.

There are little works of art to discover everywhere. Göttingen is worth a trip, and for us the chance of coming back is 100%.
