The weekend was all about "wellness and relaxation". We followed a tip from the internet and visited the thermal spa in Bad Driburg.
Bad Driburg lies near Paderborn and Bad Lippspringe in the Teutoburg Forest / Egge Hills nature park, a real hiking paradise. The area is ideal for cycling, horse riding, fishing, Nordic walking and golf. The motorhome pitch is right next to the spa. The pitches are a separate area of the normal car park. Large vehicles don't fit into a normal parking space and simply park crossways. Electricity is available and has to be registered at the spa's cash desk, after which the bollard is switched on. The motorhome pitch is open all year round and has space for 15 motorhomes.
Prices:
Pitch 5.00 euros per night without electricity / incl. fresh water
Electricity 2.50 euros per night
The spa is divided into the bathing area and the sauna area.
Several indoor and outdoor pools at different temperatures, as well as nine different saunas and steam baths, offer a break from everyday life and invite you to relax and enjoy yourself.

Nearby is the Gräflicher Park, which covers more than 60 hectares. Count Sierstorpff redesigned the grounds as an English landscape park. By 1825 a large number of half-timbered spa buildings had been built. Bad Driburg town centre is currently (2012) being redesigned, with lots of renovation and new building work.
The centre of Bad Driburg is very much geared towards spa guests and offers little for a younger crowd.
