Schieder Lake 2010

Over Whitsun we organised a small motorhome meetup at the Schieder Stausee reservoir. The reservoir is near Lügde (North Rhine-Westphalia). The motorhome pitch is divided into a paved area and an adjoining meadow, with space for around 300 motorhomes.

This place is a paradise for children: lots of attractions, playgrounds and a swimming pool for young and old.

We were a really fun group and had nothing but fun the whole weekend – all really lovely, nice people. The pitch is very spacious, and we could all park our motorhomes however we liked (on the meadow). The site warden Thomas is extremely friendly and helpful. At the same time there was a meetup of converted buses. We were lucky enough to see these vehicles up close and, in some cases, from the inside. Johnny's motorhome: his bus and he himself are absolutely unique in this world. Fairy lights and power cables wherever you look.

Paved area and a large meadow for around 300 motorhomes at the Schiedersee near Lügde – ideal for meet-ups, free choice of pitch. A paradise for children with playgrounds and a pool. Very friendly, helpful warden. We organised a motorhome meet-up here at Whitsun 2010.
