Our motorhome trip to Andernach was a real highlight from the very first moment. The journey went completely smoothly – in perfect weather and in a good mood, we rolled along well-built roads towards Rhineland-Palatinate. Our anticipation of a few eventful days grew with every kilometre.
As soon as we arrived in Andernach, we were rewarded: we immediately found a beautiful pitch – quiet, yet central, with a view of the Rhine and right next to the historic old town. The facilities left nothing to be desired, so we could quickly set up our motorhome and go exploring.
The town of Andernach impressed us with its charming mix of history, culture and modern lifestyle. On a walk through the old town we came across well-preserved town walls, the imposing Rhine Gate and cosy cafés inviting us to linger. But the real highlight was still to come: the Andernach Geyser.
