Laboe 2022
Second stop of our December 2022 tour: Laboe on the Kiel Fjord, with the U-995 submarine and the Naval Memorial tower with its unbeatable view.

A few days earlier we had been at Karls strawberry farm.
The motorhome pitch there is still not very nice and overpriced at 10 euros per night without any facilities. The ground gets muddy when it rains, and there's no electricity or water. The strawberry farm could invest a little money here. The next morning we drove on to Laboe on the Kiel Fjord, where we headed straight for the Naval Memorial pitch. The bus and car park has a special area for motorhomes.
The pitch itself has no electricity or water and costs 14 euros per night at the machine – presumably you're paying for the great location by the Baltic. Then we walked along the promenade to the harbour. The Color Line ferry was just leaving the harbour, heading for Oslo.
Not far from the pitch are the submarine and the Naval Memorial. Admission is 12 euros per person, and we were able to marvel at the technology. LINK
The combined ticket also gives you access to the memorial tower. The information in the tower is impressive, and the view from the tower itself is unbeatable. The 57 metres up the tower can easily be covered by lift.
Then we drove on to Sehestedt.
