We had the chance of a short trip to England, so we didn't think twice and packed our suitcases.
We flew from Hanover straight to Heathrow. The airport is huge, but luckily everything is well signposted. We stayed in Bournemouth, right on the south coast of England.
We reached Bournemouth after 2 hours on the coach from the airport (about 30 pounds per person). Our hotel, the Durley Grange Hotel, is only about 300 metres from the beach and the same distance from the centre.
With its 40 rooms, the hotel is relatively small by German standards, but offers lots of amenities.
The rooms have an en-suite bathroom with shower or bath, there's a small swimming pool with whirlpool and sauna, and there's live music in the hotel bar every evening. The coastal town is a stronghold for study trips of all kinds.
One college stands next to another. The fine sandy beach stretches along the entire coast.
