Lelystad 2021
In 2021 we moved our boat from Almere to Lelystad on the IJsselmeer – and discovered a brand-new motorhome pitch on a little island in front of the town.

As we wanted to take our boat onto the IJsselmeer, we moved it from Almere to Lelystad in 2021. Lelystad lies right on the road that runs straight across the IJsselmeer on the dyke. The town offers everything from small shopping arcades to a large shopping centre.
Sometimes we also stayed with our motorhome near the boat and in the evening parked right on a small island in front of Lelystad. If you drive across the dyke, just behind the drawbridge there is a small island off the shore. A motorhome pitch was built on this island in 2021.
The pitch has a solid surface, with a view of Lelystad on one side and the sea on the other.
The cost is 15 euros per vehicle plus 1 euro per person. The fees were collected by a young man from Berlin who leases the site.
From here the large "Batavia Stad" shopping centre is also very easy to reach. A sandy beach just off the island rounds off the picture.
