Setting off northwards
On Thursday we set off full of anticipation in our motorhome heading north – destination: Sweden. Before boarding the ferry, we made a stop at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf, a really lovingly designed strawberry farm that put us straight into a holiday mood.
In the afternoon we took the ferry from Travemünde to Trelleborg. The crossing was calm and pleasant; we had a cabin and could rest well. We arrived in Sweden punctually during the night and drove straight on to Markaryd, where we spent our first night.
Moose safari & IKEA tradition
The next day there was a highlight straight away: the moose safari at Smålandet Älgsafari https://www.smalandet.se/de. We had booked the bus tour in advance for 250 SEK per person – highly recommended. During the ride we could feed moose and even watch bison. The guide was excellent and shared lots of interesting information.
