Day 6: Stavanger, Norway

In Stavanger we experienced the beauty of the Norwegian coast up close. Unfortunately a boat trip to the famous Preikestolen was only possible in the afternoon, and we had already booked a special appointment then. So we explored the city on foot.

On our cruise aboard AIDAnova we had the unique opportunity to take an exclusive look behind the scenes of this impressive ship. For 89 euros per person we had signed up for the bridge tour, followed by a special dinner at the renowned Rossini restaurant.

The bridge tour began in the late afternoon. We were warmly welcomed by an experienced AIDAnova officer and received safety instructions before entering the bridge. The sight of the ship's state-of-the-art control centre was fascinating. We could see the impressive navigation instruments and learned a lot about the technology and procedures on the bridge.

During our visit we could also ask questions and gained insights into the crew members' responsibilities during the voyage. The captain was also present and explained the challenges and joys of his work on the high seas.

After the bridge tour we went to the elegant Rossini restaurant. This gourmet restaurant is known for its excellent cuisine and first-class service. We were shown to a romantically laid table and could choose from a wide variety of delicious dishes.

Our culinary journey began with exquisite starters and fine wines. The main courses offered a wide range of options, including fresh seafood and tender meat. The desserts were a real treat for the senses.

Dinner at the Rossini restaurant was not only a feast for the palate but also a feast for the senses. The service was first-class, and the atmosphere relaxed and inviting.

All in all, the combination of the bridge tour and dinner at the Rossini restaurant on AIDAnova was an unforgettable experience. It allowed us not only to take a look behind the scenes of the ship but also to enjoy the culinary highlights of this luxury ship. We left the evening with many wonderful memories and looked forward to further adventures on our cruise.
