Slovenia / Croatia 2021
September 2021: cable car up the Hochfelln, three days in Slovenia cycling round Lake Bled, then Rabac, Pula, sailing from Rovinj and Umag.

On Thursday afternoon we set off for southern Germany. Our first stop was the motorhome site in Bergen near Traunstein. We had stopped there overnight by chance in June 2021 and were so taken with the mountain views the next morning that we decided to take the cable car up the Hochfelln next time.
On Friday morning at 9 o'clock we walked to the valley station, which is right next to the motorhome site. The cable car runs in two stages:
- Valley station to the middle station
- Middle station on to the summit plateau
- An adult ticket for the full trip up and back costs 24 euros (as of 9/2021).
The ride to the summit was a great experience and the view is impressive. We also had a lovely breakfast at the top.
At midday we left the site and drove to Slovenia. This year we wanted to try out Slovenia as a holiday destination for three days. We had already picked Camping Šobec in advance; it is only 3 kilometres from the motorway. It is a great campsite with different pitches by the river or the lake. We chose a riverside pitch with electricity and water right there. The pitch cost 41 euros (including 2 adults).
From Friday to Sunday Anton offers massages on the campsite (mojamasaza.si). He has converted a motorhome into a massage studio. We tried a massage straight away and it is well worth it: one hour costs 40 euros.
The next morning we cycled to Bled. Luckily we have e-bikes, because the climbs are no joke.
