Day 15 / 29 degrees / 760 nautical miles
In the morning AIDAaura reached our port of departure again.
At 8.30 a.m. we met with our suitcases at the pier for the transfer to Bangkok. As our return flight didn't leave until 8.10 p.m., we had also booked excursion LCH03A through AIDA.
We took the bus from the port towards Bangkok, about 100 kilometres. We were really lucky with the rush hour – no traffic jams or congested roads.
Our first stop was the Golden Buddha in Bangkok. As in all temple complexes, you have to take your shoes off here too. Then on to the Reclining Buddha. The whole complex is a paradise, with beautiful statues to discover everywhere – works of art wherever you look.
Of course the obligatory visit to a factory with a sales room couldn't be missed.
At 4 p.m. we finally reached the airport (by now we'd seen enough Buddhas). Our return flight went via Doha to Frankfurt again, with a 3-hour stopover.
A wonderful holiday came to an end.
We had originally booked AIDA South America and then rebooked to Southeast Asia. That was the best decision we could have made: a super, relaxed holiday with lots of new impressions and nice, uncomplicated people.
