The Easter holidays are always a great opportunity to escape everyday life for a few days. This year our destination was the Baltic Sea, more precisely Travemünde. We had already booked a pitch at the Ivendorf campsite in advance.
On Thursday at lunchtime we set off northwards. Of course there were lots of traffic jams on the Hamburg motorway, and the journey took 4 hours instead of the usual 2.5–3. But despite the jams we arrived in a good mood at our first short stop, Karls Erdbeerhof in Warnsdorf.
Karls Erdbeerhof in Warnsdorf is a popular destination for families, friends and anyone who enjoys fresh strawberries and a varied day out. The farm is known for its large selection of strawberries, which can be picked fresh in season.
As well as the delicious strawberries, Karls Erdbeerhof offers many other attractions: a large playground for children, a tractor track, a mini golf course and various stalls selling regional products, sweets and souvenirs. Cafés and snack stands serving homemade cakes, ice cream and other treats take care of your appetite.
The farm is particularly lively in summer and invites you to linger. The friendly atmosphere, the beautiful rural surroundings and the variety of activities make Karls Erdbeerhof in Warnsdorf a great place for a family outing or a relaxed day with friends – a place that offers plenty of fun and enjoyment for young and old alike.
Over Easter the farm is of course a popular destination for young and old.
Once my wife had filled her shopping bags, we continued to the campsite 5 kilometres away.
On arrival at the campsite we were warmly welcomed right at the entrance barrier, and the instructions were great: "You've booked? Great, then drive straight up to path number 1 and pick yourselves a nice pitch. Then just come to reception to register."
No sooner said than done, and we found a great pitch on the "Bulli meadow".
The Ivendorf campsite is a beautiful place for anyone who loves nature and the sea. It's not far from the Baltic and is ideally located for exploring the lovely surroundings. The site is well equipped and offers pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes.
We appreciated the friendly atmosphere and the well-kept grounds. There are modern sanitary facilities, a playground for children and lots of opportunities to enjoy nature.
