On 14 December the time had come for our next AIDA tour. For this trip we had chosen the "Caribbean 17" route and booked it through the "Uelzener Ferien Welt" travel agency, including the travel package.
We flew from Hanover to Paris.
We had a lot of respect for Paris airport, as many friends and acquaintances had told us beforehand that it was enormous and the distances between the terminals very long. But what can we say – everything was very easy and superbly signposted. The staff always showed us the right way and guided us to the right bus, which took us straight to the right gate. With a slight delay we then flew in an A380 from Paris straight to Miami. At Miami airport our personal shuttle was already waiting for us – great service – and a short time later, at around 8 p.m., we reached our ship, AIDAvita.
After check-in we quickly went to the Calypso restaurant for something to eat.
It has now become a tradition for us to always have a cocktail in the AIDA Bar on the first evening and toast our holiday.
