The Prime Time shows with Kris were always good entertainment. And then a little stroll around the ship.

The next morning we reached Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Here we had booked the "27 Waterfalls" tour with AIDA.

At 8 a.m. the bus set off, and after about 30 minutes we reached our destination. Here we were given a life jacket and a helmet; everyone had to bring their own water shoes. After a briefing by the local guide, we walked uphill through the forest for about 45 minutes.

The guides were already creating a great atmosphere.

Once at the top, things got going straight away, and we were allowed to jump right into the gorge – about 4 metres. But there were also stairs for people who didn't want to jump. Then the watercourse led us over several natural slides down into the valley.

The finale was a jump from a height of 7 metres. A great tour and really recommendable. After the tour we could shower and change.

Back at the port, all the shops invited us to browse, and to round things off we had a Mamajuana in a bar – a mixed drink much loved in the Dominican Republic.

To end the day there was a wonderful sunset.
