But this lovely tour also passed far too quickly, and we were dropped off punctually at the cruise terminal. The full-day tour costs 99 dollars per person, paid in cash after the tour.

We can recommend this tour without reservation too. Sevi and Patrick can be reached via:

The next day we reached the last of the ABC islands, Bonaire.

Bonaire, one of the Dutch Caribbean islands, is known not only for its colourful coral reefs and crystal-clear waters but also for its unique hiking trails.

Here we had booked a tour with Roadrunner in advance. The special thing about this tour was the chance to drive a Twizy yourself behind the bus. We were picked up by minibus in front of the cruise terminal port at 8.45 a.m. and went straight to Mandy and Jörn's home to change vehicles. After a briefing on the vehicles and signing a waiver, we set off in convoy.

The first stop was a supermarket, where we had the chance to buy drinks for the day. After a short time we continued to a villa district, where we could also look across to Klein Bonaire. Mandy told us something about the island's flora and fauna. A few minutes later we went to the 1000 Steps. The staircase is called that because at the bottom there's a great diving area and divers have to go down these steps. Of course there aren't 1000 steps – but on the way back up, the divers feel as if the stairs will never end.
