A highlight of our stay was the trip to the viewing platform, which offered a breathtaking view over the bay and the surrounding islands. From there we could enjoy the rugged but beautiful panorama of the Norwegian coast – despite the changeable weather. Within a very short time we experienced sunshine, snow showers and thick fog, alternating every 30 minutes and giving the landscape a dramatic mood. On the viewing platform we also brought our snowman Trolly to life, who now keeps watch over Måløy from up there.

To round off our stay, we discovered a cosy café near the harbour that won us over with its Scandinavian charm and delicious pastries. Over a hot cup of coffee we could soak up the atmosphere of Måløy once more before heading back to the ship.

Despite the short time in port, Måløy left a lasting impression with its street art, impressive views and typical Norwegian coastal flair.

A little highlight on the way back to Hamburg: in the North Sea we met AIDAnova, and the two ships sailed side by side for a while. AIDAnova was coming from Oslo and had the same destination, Hamburg.

A great experience.

During the two weeks on board we enjoyed not only the relaxed atmosphere of the ship but also breathtaking excursions ashore. The Norwegian fjords, picturesque coastal towns and spectacular views offered new highlights again and again. Whether in Trondheim, Alta, at the North Cape or in Måløy, there were fascinating places to discover everywhere. Particularly impressive were the viewing platforms with their magnificent views over fjords and bays, but also the small, charming towns with their colourful houses and historic sights.

Besides the scenic experiences, there was plenty of time to relax. The sea days offered a chance to unwind, whether over a coffee on deck with a view of the sea or with the wellness offers on board. Socialising wasn't neglected either – we got to know nice people and spent lovely evenings in good company.

In the end the time passed far too quickly. Two weeks felt like the blink of an eye, and yet the memories of this trip will stay with us for a long time. Norway with AIDA was once again an unforgettable experience – and the next trip is sure to come!
