After a great experience we continued to Sortland.

In Sortland we didn't book an excursion. AIDAmar lay right at the terminal in the town centre, and everything was easy to reach on foot.

Sortland is a town in the Norwegian county of Nordland. It lies on the island of Langøya and is known for its picturesque setting between the mountains and the sea.

Sortland lies on the Sortlandsundet, a strait separating the islands of Langøya and Hinnøya. The town is surrounded by impressive mountains, fjords and islands, creating a spectacular natural backdrop.

Sortland is also known as the "Blue Town". Many of the buildings in the town centre are painted in different shades of blue, which gives the town a unique and charming appearance.

Near Sortland lies Møysalen National Park. This national park includes the Møysalen massif, an impressive mountain range popular with hikers and climbers.

We got to know Sortland as a charming town in the midst of impressive natural surroundings.

After all the new and wonderful experiences, a sea day was a great opportunity to process all the impressions.

The best thing about that day was the whales near AIDAmar.
