Day 9: Wine Hike in Radebeul and the Semperoper
At 7:45 AM, our friends picked us up—our first destination was the rest of the group's hotel for a huge breakfast buffet.
At 10:30 AM, we took the train to Radebeul to the picturesque Schloss Wackerbarth. Right on time at 11:15 AM, the program began with a first glass of wine—the perfect mood-setter for the wine hike. The paths through the steep vineyards required a bit of fitness, but the panoramic view across the Elbe Valley was breathtaking. During the subsequent wine tasting, we sampled our way through the regional delicacies. After two and a half cheerful hours, our time in the vineyard went by far too quickly.
Back in Dresden, a guided tour of the world-famous Semperoper awaited us at 5:00 PM. Magnificent foyers, gilded tiers, and the massive stage—a gigantic contrast to the rustic charm of the vineyards.
Over dinner together, we reviewed all the wonderful impressions. A huge thank you to Natalie and Florian—your organization was absolute top-tier!
