Day 10: Karls Erlebnis-Dorf and a Lucky Find by the Lake
After the event-filled weekend in Dresden, we headed toward the Harz Mountains. For my wife, a fixed stopover was on the itinerary: Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Döbeln. What once started as a cozy strawberry farm has now turned into a full-fledged amusement park with bustling crowds. To my taste, it doesn't have much to do with coziness anymore—for me, it was the last visit.
Since our spot in the Harz was only booked for two days later, we made use of the freedom of the motorhome for a spontaneous stop at Marina Braunsbedra—an absolute lucky find:
- Perfect location: Pitch right by the water with a panoramic view over the harbor.
- Fair overall package: €25 per night including electricity, toilets, and showers.
- Relaxed wind-down: A walk along the pier and a cold drink at the beach bar.
That's the way to travel: peaceful calm by the water after a noisy stopover!
