The last stop on this trip took us to Smögen, a small, picturesque coastal village on the Swedish west coast. We were lucky enough to find a great pitch right on the edge of the village – with a view of the sea and glorious peace and quiet.
In the afternoon we set off to explore Smögen. The village is known for its long wooden boardwalk running along the colourful boathouses. The atmosphere was lively but cosy: fishing boats in the harbour, small boutiques, cafés and restaurants with fresh fish. Everywhere smelled of sea and salt, and you could really soak up the Swedish summer atmosphere.
The next day we got tickets for a concert by Robert Wells, a Swedish pianist and composer who gained international fame with his show "Rhapsody in Rock". A great musician who combines classical, rock and jazz – full of energy and passion.
After this experience it was time to say goodbye in the evening: we left Smögen and set off back home. With lots of impressions in our luggage and a touch of melancholy, our motorhome trip came to an end – but also with anticipation of the next adventure.
After 2.5 weeks and 3,500 kilometres, we arrived home relaxed.
