The next day we were spoiled with fantastic weather – brilliant sunshine and a pleasant 24 degrees. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy nature to the full. So we made the most of the day and took the canoes out onto the lake.

Lake Nisser showed itself from its most beautiful side. Surrounded by wooded hills and small rocky islands, it offers an impressive backdrop that invites you to explore. The clear water glitters in the sun, and the silence is broken only by the splashing of the paddles. Every now and then, wide views opened up across the lake to the gentle mountains on the horizon.

The canoe trip was a special experience – calm, unhurried and full of beautiful impressions. Small bays invited us to linger, and from the water the landscape seemed even more intense and unspoilt.

Today the sun greeted us with glorious weather and a pleasant 24 degrees. We packed up and left the campsite in Softestad to continue our tour.

Our next destination was Gaustatoppen – one of the highest mountains in southern Norway (1,883 m). From its summit, on a clear day, you can see almost a sixth of Norway. An impressive natural landmark that looks majestic even from a distance.

Along the way we made lots of great stops and enjoyed glorious views before continuing towards the Hardangervidda. On the plateau we finally found a dreamlike spot to spend the night. Here the temperature dropped to around 17 degrees, accompanied by a strong, powerful wind – an impressive experience of nature.
